mercedes WIS subscription???

Hi Guys,

How do i subscribe to the genuine WIS system as i don't want any ebay copies or downloads. Looked online but can't seem to find it.

Already have a 2008 E320 estate, just bought a damaged 2010 Ml350, probably getting another damaged 2008 E320 estate on friday, so need WIS for parts etc etc.

Joined the mercedes club yesterday, but that does not appear to have the full WIS access i was told it had.

I believe, from reading a previous thread, access is not immediate and takes a time to happen. Could be wrong, slept since reading the post.

If it's the official club you have joined they will send you a membership card that lets you logon to the site containing the EPC, you can access the 'full' WIS through an icon in that app... It took a good couple of weeks for my card to arrive when I first joined a few years ago...

Thanks for the replies lads, yes it is the official club i joined they emailed me today with my login details....have been on the site with full access but can't seem to find the WIS section...probally just me, maybe looking to hard.

In EPC look at the icons top right, the red car on a lift loads WIS

It's not easy to find.....

Clublounge , Anmeldung then login ....

once logged in select Electronic Parts Catalogue...

once in the app ( change settings to English ) type in your VIN...
then select the red car on ramp icon from the top right to access WIS...

I suspect however, the email you have only has the login ID for the UK club website...

The ID on your membership card will be something like ENG123456

Thanks Guys, I think that Mirras is probably correct that i have only received my login details for the site, hence not having full access.

Will send them an email requesting my full login.

You need to wait for the membership card, as it contains the login code.

I am in the same situation.

The EPC/WIS access scheme is administered from Germany through their Classic Club , headquartered I believe, at the Mercedes Benz Museum GmbH. As such the UK club are unable to issue a login code. You will just have to wait I'm afraid-- frustrating I know but in the meantime I suggest you register as a member of the offical club forum [ its a closed forum only open to members] where you will get lots of advice as how to access the WIS while you wait your membership card from Germany.

Fingers crossed it does not take to long then, do i use the details they emailed me today to register as a member on the official club forum??

You can use the details you got to log on to the members only sections of the site. This will allow you to access the forum- you may have to chose a forum username/password to be able to post but you should be able to read existing posts - the forum is arranged in sections according MB model with some sections busier than others but there are general and general technical sections.
