Lots of Mercedes!
Hi All,

Hope you are all keeping safe at this moment.

I want to change the Mercland website for a number of reasons. Mainly SEO which is above my head but my current supplier isnt doing me justice in this department.

Anyway, im torn between two providers.

Ill keep it simple, please could you let me know which of these providers you would go with based on these sample websites. Comments welcome.

there is a cost difference but lets ignore that for the moment.

I just want to know which providers websites you find easier to navigate and would make you more comfortable buying a car.

Cant seem to insert a poll?

Appreciate all the help!

Provider A:

Provider B:

Used Cars Nottingham, Nottinghamshire | SP Cars Nottingham (under construction almost complete)

I have checked 2 of each on Chrome for iPhone and samples A run and look much better.
Viewing car photos, basic car info, contact details with a location map, and social media links are well positioned and in good size for phone browsing in A.
Also A samples look more professional.
Hope this helps.

I prefer Provider A. The websites look more professional and are different.

Provider B appears to use the same template and adjusts the details.

The first sample. The simple reason is the second lot do not allow you to turn unnecessary cookies off on the website so I personally wouldn't even look through the site. My personal opinion obviously.

B.

IMHO whilst the first supplier obviously understands coding, the very lively graphics detract from what I want when I'm looking for a car

Provider A gets my vote, my initial thoughts are they just seem to be easier to navigate and more user friendly. For some reason I felt more settled on these sites. Although IMO it would be nice to be able to close the 'live chat' box in the bottom right of the screen (maybe there is, but I couldn't).

Using my laptop, the photos on provider B sites are slightly larger than my screen therefore I needed to scroll up/down to see the full photo.
I did find the option to select different manufacturers better on provider B sites, but I don't think that would be much of a benefit with your particular website as most visiting customers would probably be looking for a Mercedes and I guess that would be your default Manufacturer.

I like provider A's work for Proctors in Wessington. It's a small specialist out in the sticks but punching above its weight with the site. Suggest you talk to them.

A would be my choice, they seem to alter the design to suit the client whereas B just knock them out based upon the same underpinning template. Specifically I would for something in the style of Proctor.

As above "A" Very Professional.

B ran more quickly and easy to get to a single car , but frankly either was ok for me .

I prefer group A. They do seem to be a little individualistic.

I see a number of the sites have the same young lady available for an online chat!

Both sites look to be built bespoke, neither use wordpress.

Proctor cars has been built better, code wise, lots of care taken by those guys.

So...provider A...

A looks much more professional and less cluttered. Projects a much better image.

Provider A but beware G-wizzery visuals overwhelming useful pertinent vehicle information. Mercedes UK's official website being a case in point where useful technical detail has to" mined "from a huge overburden of stunning but information depleted visuals. To such an extent that it verges on loosing your attention as to why you came there in the first place.🤔

Sorry to throw a "spanner" in the works but if your main issue is SEO, then you are better off trying searches based on the KeyWords that you think match your business, then see what sites come up higher on the list. The ones that rank higher have the right content with the keywords and plenty of H1 and H2 tags.
A pretty site doesnt always relate to better SEO

@jaymanek

The site is good now Jay - just noticed though that when searching, the site keeps "resetting" to the "Mercedes" in the search filter but shows all makes anyway (so not a huge issue).
