Michelin Primacy Pilots

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between

Michelin Primacy Pilots

and

Michelin Primacy Pilots MO (Mercedes Fitment)

According to my local tyre place, he thinks they are the same and its just some marketing scam to increase the price....

Does anyone know?

If he thinks that then he probably shouldn't be in the tyre business .

The compound, load rating and sidewall stiffness vary dependent on manufacturer requirements.

You can ask Michelin directly here - they're usually pretting good at replying.

It's certainly not a marketing scam and if the wrong type are fitted could prove very dangerous, see link.
As said above the chap should probably not be in the tyre business.

I have heard it said the the MO is a softer compound that gives a better ride when selling the cars, I do know that the MO version have a shorter life than the standard
