Microsoft's Antispyware to be free

I tried to download with Beta with a legit copy of XP Pro (OEM) and it couldn't validate my Windows as Genuine!!

I will try on my shovel-ware copy of XP Select License!!

I had that problem with my laptop too, you can just opt not to get your OS validated and proceed direct to download.

What browser were you using? as I was using Netscape 7.2 at the time and thought that might have been why my legit OEM XP Home couldn't be validated.

Good news about it being free. Given the public's feelings toward MS on the issue of security, it's probably a very good idea.

I have a problem with trying to download this antispyware, first when it tries to validate I get up the dreaded http 403 (forbidden)my copy is genuine the previous owner was one of the top packard bell guys. It maybe something to do with service pack 2 which I just recently downloaded, it plays around with the security settings. Does anyone know an easy way of solving?
On the first validation I cannot see the information bar (its there but only comes on as a popupblocker), the second type validation I get through to the validation code being received then when I press continue the http 403 come up.

Sorted, what threw me was I suspected Windows XP service pack 2 which I have just recently downloaded, but it was Zone Alarm Pro, once I disabled it no bother.
