When I was away recently I noticed that I was getting close to 10,000 miles on the clock, so I drove into the services so I could get a picture when it clicked over. It didn't click over to 10,000, it started at 1 again!!!! Is this what normally happens ?

thats the trip recorder (which does automatically reset) not the overall vehicle mileage-you're on 58634 miles.
D'oh thanks, I'm just fascinated with numbers and was waiting for it to go to 10,000 :(

The number of trip digits must vary with model because I’m sure one of mine is well into 5 digits.

The trip computer only ever goes to 10k, change the view and you should see the cars main mileage

Spotted this just before I set off today.

In the 33 months I've owned the car, it's only covered 7455 miles, an average of 226 miles a month.
OK, we had a pandemic which kept us off the roads for a long time, but its not had proper use at all.
Must do better.

Time to plan an autobahn road trip Rog 😎

Reminds me of when my old E55K ticked over to 100000.

Was 99999 in the morning when I got to work and then flipped over just as I started on my way home.

Not something I ever thought I'd see on any car, least of all my own:99999.jpg

I did glance down the other day and saw 119119 . By the time I stopped a few mins later I’d forgotten though :)
I will try and look out for 123456 coming up soon

They have done for a long while , 320 Kph . Even my 2006 C55 has a 200mph speedo, no chance of the needle getting there ,but it's a nice round number :p
Mine goes to 160 - it's a C180.
Yeah, right 😉
