I dont think I will worry about washing car as it's spitting with rain, neighbers already think I'm mad as it is :p .

Dave Elcomes, Rirhills, Pauls,Mark 300SL & Lust4life.

Just to confirm, lust4life is in the process in changing that grill, honest ;)

WOW! please post steps you done to make the grill

1. Sell Smints for £10 each to local miscreants who think big star grill means 'dealer'

2. Follow link posted earlier to eBay

3. Deal with Torsten who is a very nice man and buy insert

4. 10 minutes in garage removing clips carefully, replacing insert and reinstalling

5. Take photo, post on Internet and look smug :D

Seriously though, it cost me around £90 for the new insert from Torsten and it's not exactly a direct replacement e.g. it's a bit loose until you modify the clips and not OEM quality but with a bit of buggering about it's OK.

Fitting took around 10 minutes and I was being careful.

I've even got someone who wants to buy the big start grill :D

Cheers,

Phil

Whoops, the link is on the "Grill - Should I stay or should I go?" thread.

Cheers,

Phil
