Mini USB Plug for TomTom

I need a right angled mini USB plug for my TomTom XL, as the picture. I have found plenty but I need the silver coloured part to be roughly twice as long.

I have searched everywhere with no luck. Any ideas where I could get one, if indeed it exists?

Try Halfords, I believe they do a travel pack with the car lead, on the computer I use a straight connector that also fits my phone. Hope this helps.

Looking at the pics of tomtom xl The socket is in a deep recess I doubt if there is anything better than the cable they supply !

Yes, because of the recess I would need the plug to be twice as long. I think I'm beating my head against a brick wall.

Ah, I thought you might ask that ! If you look at the photo below you will see that I have it mounted on one of the dashboard thingies. With a straight plug I cannot lift the TomTom to the angle I want as the cable fouls the thingy. A right angled plug should cure this, I think!

I think this will have to be the one I get. It's designed for the XL so the plug should be long enough. The other options look a bit messy. As much as I like the retracting cable I have now I don't think it is available with a suitable right handed plug.

I'll let you know the outcome.
