2015 AMG E63 Tourer
Hi, I hope one of you experts can help me with this. Getting Misfires with Error codes on a 2015 E63 Tourer which the RAC cleared before the Mercedes dealer could diagnose them (RAC were acting as Mercedes recovery). Now in the position that I have to break down again before they can diagnose it!

I rejoined the ranks of E63 Tourer ownership on 15th April, purchasing a 2015 "Mercedes Approved" model with full dealership history and a 2 year, unlimited mileage AMG warranty (having owned a newer one before, I would not touch one without a dealership warranty). It was actually Car Magazine's long term test car and was in outstanding condition. It has 78K on the clock and is immaculate.
Yesterday I had the very unpleasant experience of the car developing a misfire, vibrating like a food mixer and going into "Limp" mode. I managed to get to a layby, switch it off / switch it back on and it ran normally. I called Mercedes recovery (the warranty includes 2 years of that) and the RAC duly turned up. The RAC technician did a reset of some sort, test drove it and said it was ok.

The car was already booked in to the local MB dealer today to get some pre-purchase issues sorted. Unfortunately, as the RAC tech had cleared the error codes, they had nothing to work with. Have any of you seen these error codes before and have any idea what could be the root cause (BTW, the MB dealer has been brilliant, offering to do extended road tests to try and recreate the issue)

Hi buddy, whatever you do, don't drive it without having either MB or a independent MB specialist take a look. It could be something really simple or something really bad like bent conrod. Don't want to hazard a guess really but do have someone inspect it thoroughly 😦

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It is in the local MB dealer, getting inspected. Thats the advantage of the 2 year AMG warranty.

Update....

After two visits to the Merc dealer in Brighton plus one extended road test, they have diagnosed the issue as a coil pack breaking down. Solution is to replace all 8 coil packs which they are doing under warranty.

Lets wait and see if that fixes it.
