Missing wheel bolt

Maybe after another payout ??

I had a full wheel alignment done recently with a Hunter machine, after checking the original setup the operator clamped the steering wheel perfectly straight, he then made the necessary adjustments.
From then on the steering wheel is dead straight, as mention above, the wheel will not offset due to carrying passengers.
As also mentioned one missing bolt on a five stud hub will not be noticeable.
Replace the bolt and look up your nearest Hunter alignment centre and re align.
Do this before you do anything else. It's not expensive and you will be dealing with a specialist who can talk you through it. My tyre guys are always more than happy to talk.

That’s what I thought but the master tech seemed legit. The final time I got it back, steering wheel was pretty straight with just me driving. When a passenger sat In the car, it would go off set. Same side as the missing wheel bolt. But on the same side (same axle) I can hear a light knock over bumps from what sound like the suspension, the same side the castor angle is out as well.. confused.com…

No chance the missing wheel bolt could be a suspect ?

Sorry to revive an old thread..

Curious to know what fixed your suspension knock? Was the dealer able to fix it?

I’m wondering if the issue of the knock went away after replacing your missing wheel bolt?

I had noticed a knock on the passenger side that sounds like suspension when I go over speed bumps slowly and enter and exit driveways (must be the incline and decline of the roads).
When I was having a look if I could find the issue with the suspension, I noticed 2 wheel bolts missing from passenger front wheel! I ended up taking a wheel bolt from the drivers front and adding it to the passenger side so both sides are missing 1 bolt each, until my express replacement bolts arrive in 1-2 days.
I now noticed that knock from both sides, no longer just the passenger.

Starting to think the knock could be caused by the missing wheel bolts somehow.

Maybe the wheel was loose, causing the knock. Did you check all the bolts on the front wheels? Wheel nuts generally don’t just fall out. They need to have been left loose or not installed/removed. If two have just disappeared I would be watchful that someone isn’t messing with your car.
