Mistake!! Help?!

Guys/Gals, need some advice, i am due to recieve my new c250 AMG Sport Plus this wednesday. :bannana:

In my excitement decided to check the order form and I think there may be a mistake.

I ordered the following

New Mercedes C-Class Coupe 1.8 i BlueEFFICIENCY 16v (201bhp) C250 AMG Sport Plus Coupe 2dr 1796cc (Petrol, Automatic, Non-metallic) in White ...includes "Becker Map Pilot Solid Paint Black Seatbelts Black Articl/Dinamica De Badge Privacy Glass Telephone pre wiring Dynamic Handling package Lighting Package Ashtry and Cigarette lighter


If i am correct didn't the DHP (Dynamic Handling Package) stop and replaced by the AMG handling pack? If so what am i getting or am i better off speaking to the dealership to make sure they are fitting the correct thing.. Sorry if the question is stupid, just thought you lot were the best people to ask!

you are correct i had the same misunderstanding ages ago before i took delivery of mine a few months ago - there is no longer any dynamic handling pack - but the basic handing of the sports plus has been changed from that of the sport (dont ask me all the technical bits but there are some enhancements lol) - the optional handling pack is now the 'amg handling pack' which last i checked was roughly about £500

as well as changes in handling and engine reponse there are a few cosmetics enhancements

-black mirror
-black grill
- larger brake paddles
- interior piping is back instead of red

i did not opt for it as i would have only wanted it for the cosmetic enhancements which i have now done and my car was already black - the handling as standard is great - but coley40 on here is the only member to have received one with the handling pack on (some others have ordered this but yet to take delivery)

if it does not say this on your order sheet then officially you dont have it -it may be a simple mistake from the dealer but it is something you should call and clarify first thing. This change should be easily rectified and will only alter your build date (also price if you were not charged for the ag handling pack as they did not specify this on your invoice).

a. you should not be getting charged for a pack that does not exist anymore

b. if its the amg pack you do do want this should be specified clearly in your order

Just got a reply back, car is already ordered, built, you agreed already, tough ****...

Told them they could shove it, will await tomorrow, am hoping it's a typo!,,

wow - hope works out - i think if they have omitted it you are under no obligation if you are not happy with this and can refuse to collect the car - this can turn to be pretty tricky especially if you want to maintain a good relationship with the dealer and get another car from them

Good news, they sent me the spec sheet and on there is the amg handling pack...

If you don't mind doc, is it worth going for the service pack deal they do?

Also I heard they do a free spoiler for the boot lid, is this correct or dealer specific?

hi there all sports plus models have a boot spoiler (free as part of the model) but u can opt not to have this if you wish at time of spec - i kept mine as you can see from pictures - one thing to make sure is to ensure you have picked the correct colour seat belts as soon people ended up with red when they didn't want them

oh well i got the service pack just as i find its better for me rather than paying lump sums at the end but thats just a matter or preference

what i wouldn't get is the star guard!that was day light robbery - £500 for cleaning bits that cost £50 off ebay and pay for the priveledge just to have it applied before pick up! - you can pay a true detailer like 'detailed' that and you will have a far superior job with better products

i dont even use those products any more - used far superior ones from reviewing the detailing segments in here and car looks better than when i picked it up

lastly if you opting for becker - dont - get it off ebay - new and unopened the links are on that thread link i posted earlier - you can get the current model -new and unopened for £150-£200 rather than £500 from the dealer

I got my becker for 180 from ebay a few weeks ago bu have noticed very few for sale now and nearer to 300 i wonder if MB is restricting supplies??

Glad your car is sorted let us know what the amg handling pack is like as i have ordered it but car isnt due until Dec

i bet everyone clocked on after we posted all those links on the new c class owners thread lol - supply and demand!

think there are still some on german ebay at around the £150 -£250 mark - i may buy a few and sell re sell at £300 ha - still cheaper than MB'S £500

Just make sure with the Becker you are not getting " new" old stock with the 4 Gig Memory which struggles = can't cope with all the mapping data of the latest software release

wrong - they the new units 2012 - dates are all on the equipment and installed the new update easily - this was 3 months back when i got the car and have been no more updates since then

there maybe older models out there - but no point when you can get the newest model unopened at that price - if you go on the thread link you will see loads of members opted to this once the the deal was found and had no complaints even the dealers know about this as mine did when confronted him but said it was obviously out of his hands what mb charged for the equipment on top of the becker retail price

not sure, i so want the 19" 63 rims on there and some ICE and then will think about the exterior, in all honesty it looks so mean as is, i don't want to make it look tacky by adding any more (if you know what i mean?)
