vw engine light
I have had the same problem with a fsi 1.6. firstly stay well away from Vw main dealers. they seem to know nothing about their cars and are just robbing people left and right often multiple times to not fix problems with the wonderful vag. First try disconnecting your battery for 5 mins. reconnect and run to clear lights. my engine light came back on after a month, i cancelled the fault [fuel pressure sensor!?] and haven't had it since. Im trying to get rid of this car which actually does nothing very well and is designed for the occasional shop and not a lot else . I was duped by the old vw image. never again.[air con pump now rattling, another well known fault]
