HI ALL problem is...... gearbox is changing smoothly and right but when i put foot down from start sometimes its as flats as a pancake but builds up slowly. but still changes smooth when it due any help where to start please thanks....

Good luck with your new purchase, cant really help with the slow take off but i know they do need a real good pedal full to get under way.

I think they start in 2nd gear (A big think!!! someone will prob prove me wrong) unless you pull/tip the gear lever to 1 to grab 1st.

So really like the W setting in other cars???? Am i correct????

Check the basic easy things first,

1) Air filter

2) Air Mass Sensor ( This went on my ML and it was flat as a pancake)

If that does not do it, ge the fault codes read.

Air mass sensor is normally the cause. If your car does not go passed the 3000 rpm (air mass sensor as well)

On My ML270 the accelerator cable was broken and I was loosing about 20% power. (Check for play in he pedal)
