Hi all, I have been trying to get my drivers side door mirror indicator repeater working. I have stripped down the mirror and removed the indicator unit.

I have cleaned all the connections that I can find and have tested the indicator on a 12V supply and it lights up fine.

I cant seem to get 12V at the connection plug but this may be because my digital volt meter wont react quick enough to display a voltage.

Is there a separate fuse for the mirror indicator? Does anyone know which pins on the multi plug feed the indicator?

Is it likely to be a broken wire in the mini loom within the mirror? All the other mirror functions seem to work okay.

Any help from you electronic savvy members would be greatly appreciated!

It’s not on a separate fuse, I would be certain it’s a broken wire through the mirror housing somewhere.

Thanks for that, I noticed that the cables loop around a bit within the mirror housing, presumably to take into account the movement when the mirror retracts.
They look like pretty tough wires though.
If I could find out which pins on the multi plug inside the door feed the indicator I could establish where the problem is.
Do you think the mirror repeater is coupled up with the front indicator or would it have a separate feed from the relay?

Thanks, I will try with voltage tester instead of a meter.
