Just replaced a second glowplug at 47K miles, the first one went in June at 44K miles, so it looks like they are coming to the end of their life, and I can expect more to go soon.
I've been lucky, the first to go was number 3 which is the easiest to access, number 4 has just gone and I had to clear a few items to get access, but the next ones to go will need injection pipes to be removed which I don't relish.
Note I only do about 6K stop/start miles per year, so my glowplugs get above average exercise.
