Can anyone tell me please if it is possible (I am aware it will be expensive) to retro-fit the memory pack. I have just bought an ML through directmercedes and when I went to collect it, even though they told me it did have the memory pack, it didn't. They offer a 30 day exchange but they seem not to have any cars available in the black which I want. I am considering asking them to get the pack fitted if it is possible but I am struggling to get to terms without the steering and mirror functions included in the pack, let alone the memory seats. In all other respects the (facelift) car is fantastic and I love it as much as my previous 07 ML.

Thanks for any advice/help.

I too miss the memory package in my ML. The seats and mirrors are not too big a job, but the steering column is missing a fair bit of hardware let alone wiring and ECU to make the upgrade. I have never heard of it being done at a sensible price, but I would never say it can't be done.
I have marked the position that my wife has her seat with some discrete lining tape marks and have got to know where she has the steering. I still miss the mirrors dipping in reverse and it's a long way down!:o

If they don't have any cars - and can't access any cars - with memory I reckon you have two choices:

1. Call and ask them to prepare a refund as you're on your way with the keys; or

2. Call and ask them to prepare a refund as you're on your way with the keys, and when they try to negotiate their way out of having to give you a refund, insist on a chunk of cash back as you really really wanted memory, and they misold it to you. I reckon £1500 ought to do it, but aim for more.
