Get it checked by STAR diagnostic machine (fault code reader) by MB specialist or MB Dealership. Could be anything.

ive just had it code read and its got 16 faults shown all to do withthe mass air flow sensor
is this an exspensive job, thanks for your help

The MAF sensor is about £50 and very easy to change.

As Dieselman said. Its not hard at all to change them. I think you have to remove both air filters to get to them?? And if I remember correctly what the chap at local MB indy said, there are two in that V6 diesel?

thanks for that ive got it booked in at my local garage on friday
and ive found the part that i need on ebay for 27.00 quid each does that sound about the right price for these

Only buy a proper Bosch one, don't get a cheaper alternative, they fail quickly and sometimes don't even work out the box.

yep ordered petersburgh ones are these ok

Pierburg, yeah they are good, also oem suppliers.

thanks for the advise and help to all but it wasnt even the maf anyway it was the swirl flaps and its running ok now but its lost a lot of pulling power, the dealer i bought it from unplugged it under the airflow bar and he says i can just have the swirl flaps and epr remapped or bypassed is this true or is he just fobbing me off
