ml 320 w164 2007 cdc&comand

have a problem, trying to connect a glovebox cdc to a comand system,there isnt fibre optic cable,but there is the 3 wired plug from loom,near to the head unit,as you can tell,bought both items,but no fibre optic lead.the comand unit works.the cdc plugs in,and there is a red flashing light ,fromthe optic part.can anyone give me advice,also the part no.for the fibre optic lead also were i could get one from.cheers leo4216

Buy 2 of these single fibres - they come with the plugs you need

A211 540 31 32

If you have other fibre optic things, you will need a fibre optic joiner also

A000 545 44 84

as you need to take 1 lead out of existing plug and join it to one of the new fibres (as its a loop) - get them the right way round or it wont work , there are arrows on the connector itself

I presume you have bought the bracket and the button ?

cheers.there seems to be an optic lead coming out of the head unit,i think that goes to the instrument cluster not sure,but i will order those parts and let you know how i get on,i know i am cheeky,but i have to ask, have you got a drawing.just to let you know its the first time i have used this site.its great ihave had quite a few mercs. over the years,very special to me one saved my life in 1988 an old 230TE 123 model.but cheers for thjat quik reply
