As a motorcyclist as well as a Mercedes driver I'd urge you not to get bull bars - they hurt bikers, a lot (And children and pedestrians come to that)
There's really no need for them in the UK.
Not meaning to offend, just a personal bugbear of mine!!

It's been illegal to fit metal bull bars for some time in the UK. You can only use "type approved" plastic ones ... but maybe that's what the OP is after (do they make them for the ML?).

I think you can buy and retrofit steel front bars, just manufacturers cant sell a car with one from standard. I think so, anyway they look crap!
AFAIK you can't retrofit, and it's even illegal to manufacture or sell metal bars in the UK.
Old shape, 2001, ML320 side steps that will be perfect, I am interested
