ML 350 2011
Morning guys I'm having a bit of a nightmare with my 2011 Ml 350. I'm getting water leaking in the rear corner of the car. I have changed the rear brake light, bumper washers and vents on the side under wheel arch but it's still coming in. Last night before it rained I put insulation tape over the gap on top the roof where the roof meets the rear spoiler/ door. I've checked the water in the rear this morning and there's only a dribble. Can water be running down the back of the rear trim where the rear hinges are to? Has anyone else had this issue and what do you do to solve it?

Thanks Dave

Look at the tailgated door seal..
I've seen where water can pass around the bodywork side of the seal on the more vertical runs.
My solution was to remove and run a thin bead of black silicon along the body lip, then replace the seal.

OK will try and put some insulation tape round the seal join and try that temporary

I'm not sure you will do other than leave tape residue to be cleaned off.

When dry, and wipe the inside with tissue to be sure,
try pushing tissue into the inside space, along the seal.
Hose it down, wait an hour or so and see if the tissue has blotted.
At least then you'll know the source of the ingress.
