ML owners, check your Accelerator pedal

I found that my ML 270 CDI had a lot of play and slack in the Accelerator and I was loosing at least 20% performance.

Cable replaced and power back to normal. :bannana:

I checked it and a spring had broken out of the cable to the pedal.

If you have any slack then there is a good chance that there is a problem.

Once the cable is broken near the pedal end, adjustment will not make any difference.

I drove a friends ML 270 CDI to and I found it had no slack in the accelerator pedal, so his one was ok.

IIRC checking the accelerator pedal is named step of a (B?) standard service on an ML.
