ML Seat connector, SRS?

Hi all,

I hope everyone is well.

The SRS light has appeared on my cluster, following on from my other thread.

I have been looking for disconnected wires under the saet and saw a red connector that leads into the seat belt.

I also noticed a connection on the side of the middle row of seats that came off and got squashed when I put the seats down once.

The connection is red and damaged now.

Is this an SRS connection? What is the part number for the connection and how easy can I get hold of this and fit?

I have attached a couple of pictures.

Model: ML270 CDI (2003)

Does anyone know the part number and how easy it is to fit?

It is bringing the SRS light.

Thanks

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm the brown/ orange goes into the side with A marked on it and the blue goes into the side marked B?

Thanks

Get it plugged in first to see if it is actually that that is causing the light to come on.

When MB came around and put the STAR on the car for free, they said it was the middle seat bench seat buckle and they said there was a high voltage running across the driver seat buckle.

Now I could clearly see the rear seat bench buckle was damaged because it came off and got squashed when the seats were folded down.

MB also said that once I fix the rear seat bench it could adjust the voltage across the driver seat buckle.

Is this unlikely?

---------------Update----------------------

The ML is now fixed thanks to alf230 (Wayne Gates)

I fixed the rear connection on the seat, it required a new pin housing and rear left seat buckle.

alf230, found there was another fault with the clock spring and luckily he had one in stock :). He was quick, reliable and I was very grateful he could fit the ML in despite being very busy on a Saturday.
I have visited Wayne Gates twice now and both times I have left happy. :bannana:

I may have questioned some indies inc. Wayne Gates when I acquired the vehicle. However, I suppose you learn from your mistakes and I joined the forum to seek the answers my brain was questioning at the time. :D

Thanks alf230, we shall be back :thumb:

If anyone needs the part numbers for the SRS pin housing, please pm.

Wayne sold his business and retired to Australia. I am confused. Did you speak to him personally ? Is he back in Harrow ?

Not Wayne Gates, Terry Gates. He has taken over and kept the name Wayne Gates.
