Hi all,

I hope everyone is well.

I know I am always talking about my suspension, although today on my road; which is bumpy. There was a sudden drop well in feel on the driver’s side and a weird noise I have not heard before, while driving. It was not like your classic creek, more like a sharp bang/ creek. :dk:

I did think have I just damaged a drain cover, although there were no drain covers near me.

Any ideas, I hope it’s not a torn ball joint?

hmmm, cheers Olly. :thumb:

Would this be obvious if I jack the car up?

Could it be the ball joint? On the other hand if it is the spring, is the car still safe to drive?

It could be a number of things. A broken spring is an MOT fail so in the eyes of VOSA yes.

Cheers Olly,

I need the car for Monday, would a trip down to Kwik Fit be any good?

For an inspection of the suspension? To make sure it is nothing serious as no Indy will be open tomorrow?

I personaly would not use KW. Wait 'till monday.

OKay, cheers Olly.

I forgot to mention I need the vehicle for tomorrow night as well, motorway journey.

Is there anything I can look for in the short time period I have?

Thanks for replying btw.

I recently changed the front suspension bushes.

I did notice the stabilizer link that links to the chassis has some movement, back and forth.

Is this okay? Or is it common for the stabilizers to be replaced?

Regards

Linkage shouldn't move or it will unbolt and you will lose it. Tighten it up.
