My wife reckons I have a wheel fetish! This is coming from a lady with 74 pairs of shoes.
We now seem to have got past the really bad weather so I thought it was time to put the new ‘summer’ wheels on the ML. I bought these genuine Mercedes wheels for very little on ebay over Christmas and had the Toyo Proxes S/T tyres fitted a little while ago. They are 20” wheels with the correct offset and 265/45 tyres. I do like the look of the 22” inch wheels but they do make the car look a bit ‘drug dealer’ and with just a 35 profile the rims would be magnetically attracted to kerbs.
These ones certainly sharpen up the looks and handling and first impressions indicate that we have made gains in both road noise and ride comfort over the somewhat hard 19” Bridgestones. We will have to wait and see how they wear or if they effect the MPG
I think the car still looks ‘stock’ opposed to ‘drug dealer’, but given my wife is an NHS director, I suppose she is a legalised drug dealer! ;)

I would go with 22's and fill those arches. However, at the end of the day it's your car and your choice. If you are for comfort then stick with what you have.

Yeah, I think my wife wants the comfort! Another oxymoron: ML Sport!
How can a lounge on stilts be regarded as sporting!
Still, it does elevated wafting pretty well;)

Just weighed the 19" wheels and tyres that came off and they are exactly the same as the new 20" so I won't be upsetting any damper rates. Some of the aftermarket 22" rims can weigh as much as a small car!

Looks very nice, think they suit the car really well. :)

Im still waiting for pictures of SportsCoupeRich's car with its 22" fitted.

Unusual colour, and unusual wheels. Me like muchly.

I saw them on at least that style on Piston heads a few months back...I was tempted for my W163 ML. Seller said they were the 20" upgrade off an R class.

Still want bigger wheels and while I agree 20" best compromise for ride etc, 22" will look great :)

They look nice though and more stock than some aftermarket ones.

How much were your tyres if you don't mind me asking.

I think they look fantastic - saw these for sale. Would you mind telling us how much they were with/without the tyres?

V tempted to get some for my R

There are some on ebay at the moment, but for double the £500 I paid.
The tyres were £134 each from Rochford tyres.
