ML wheels seen - watcha think?

Hi

In Southampton today (munching on a Subway special with family) and this ML parked up outside

Several people stopped to look at the wheels, so as I thought they may be something special, I might as well share them with the ML owners (and the rest of us) here

Not something I normally stop and snap, (apologies for the crappy Pearl photos) but they stopped several people over a 10 minute period

Where would they sit on the cool or 'barry' board?

I think they are standard on that model (edition10)

Yep they look like Edition 10 alloys.

Yep, standard alloys (prob a sport or Ed 10), that is a facelift ML as well, with standard side steps.
Doesn't suit silver in my opinion, unless it has the full AMG kit. The GL/ML looks better with dark exteriors IMHO.

The Edition 10 was a runout model pre facelift. The Latest facelift cars have the 'drooped' headlamps as part of the upgrade. The wheels are 20" with 265/45 tyres, the same size I now have on mine.
I'll get my anorak....

Do you have airmatic or std suspension and what's the ride like with the 20" wheels fitted?

Interested because I currently have 19" on my GL and am considering fitting 20".

I have Airmatic on the ML and the ride quality is at least as good as on the 19" Bridgestones that came off. This may be just a tyre type change, but I suspect the profile going from 50 to 45% is not a massive change.

I have airmatic and 22" wheels - rides fine in comfort and not noticably worse in Sport...

Use the 'manage attachments' tab, then 'browse' and upload a jpeg up to 150Kb
You may ahve to reduce the size of your pictures using whatever picture manager you have.

They look a lot better in the flesh and help pick out the chrome strip and lips. Wobbly can back me up!?
