Morning chaps

Can anyone help
I noticed yesterday that my drivers side wing mirror has cracked
It looks like something has hit it and cracked it

I've looked on a few parts websites but none seem to do the auto dimming ones
Is this something I need to go the the main dealer for
If so any idea how much I need a mortgage for

Dealer only part I believe, have seen prices of around £300 plus quoted.

You can fit a heated non dimming replacement considerably cheaper.

Looks like I didn't need the auto dimming option after all if it's going to bythat much

I would go on eBay and get a 2nd hand one, you just need an eye to look out for a working OEM one with no cracks or yellowing.

Is the glass part interchangeable?
Will one from a 203 fit? At first glance they seem the same.

Do ML's have wing mirrors? I thought they only had door mirrors

Not sure about interchangeable (first Mercedes)
Mines a W164 on a 59 plate

I will have to keep an eye on the bay

Looks like I definitely don't need a dimming mirror ON MY DOOR

If you're not bothered about the auto dimming look on ebay.de or ebay.com and select Europe and look for one listed as a passenger mirror. It should be heated but won't have the auto dim but it will give you a wider market to find one.

I was lucky with mine, it wasn't cracked the crystals had gone so I stripped the mirror, cleaned out the crystals and reassembled it to save the £340 the dealer quoted for an SL mirror glass.
