ML270 (03) Cruise control stopped?

Cruise control stopped working today....was fine yesterday....car has been sat idle for a bit due to having a company car but now thats gone back im happy to be in my ML! Ive driven it weekly just to keep things rolling and no probs before....?

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

BAS/ESP/ETS/ABS/EPC lights on, but they came on and went off after a while anyway last time when the car had been idle for a while...

Tired battery or incompatible/contradictory signals from ABS sensors

If you have excluded the battery failing as that can generate a lot of error messages then almost certainly the brake light switch is faulty. A common problem with similar symptoms and an easy and cheap fix.

A misbehaving cruise control was the first hint that the battery on my old W202 was going to die.

Well, last time I had issues with the lights coming on they went off after a few days running the car around back to normal but I dont seem to remember having probs with the cruise control like I was this time. I guess they must be linked, but on this occasion and after a few more days all the lights went off and my cruise control returned. Its been running smoothly now for a few days and the lights have gone.

Normal service has been resumed
