ML270 cdi alternator replacement

Hello, I was wondering if there is anyone who has any instructions on how to remove this from my 2002 ml270 cdi.

I have removed the o/s inner arch liner and the undertray i have removed two long bolts and have loosened a third although I cannot get this to clear the turbo to remove fully, is there anywhere i can find out how to do this i.e a job sheet to save me bruising any more knuckles?

Hi Tony, first of all does your alternator have water running through it? Most think its water cooled, it was actually added to help heat the engine quicker....

If it has they can be a bit of a bugger and they are pretty heavy too...

Yep it's water cooled and seems to be a bit of a pig to get out, hopefully someone might have the job sheet to do this myself
