mercedes ml270 cdi

run for more than 10 min still the same. just noticed when i rev engine and checking air in pipes it turns slight white coming out of primary pump

I presume the car is struggling to start if your seeing air in the fuel?..
If your reasonably mechanically minded which it sounds like you are. I would use a low pressure airline and pressurise the fuel line to find the leak. I had the same on a ML270 which visited several garages before the fault was found. I started from the filter to pump and worked my war through the fuel system pipes.

I would allow a good long run of a few miles or so to eliminate all air from the fuel system especially if you have had the fuel line apart.

But basically if it draws air in, it will leak out under presure.

Hope this helps.

Well I had the same problem some tome back when I had my ML270.

It took me ages but here is what I did to get it started, I got a rubber hose, just like a fuel pipe and sucked up diesel entering the filter from the tank. This took the bulk of the airlock out and hey presto it started.

Nightmare over.

Now thats a free tip.

no problem starting starts first time just air in fuel line coming out of fuel filter when i rev engine i had fuel leak 2 months ago fixed leak it ran the same seen air from filter changed seals and 2fuel line but still air if you dont mind me asking what was problem with your ml

The problem I had was poor starting if the car was left for prolonged periods of more that a couple of days. A little bit of investigation and I found the air in the fuel lines which was the problem.

Hi. My 270cdi started today for 4 seconds and stop. So I try it again and did not start. I seek the problem and find that the fuel line was empty (looking in the transparent line near the pump). So I "drain" it and started again, but I could see the air bobbles in the line. Leaving off for few minutes the line was without diesel again, so I do have a leak (or is there any return valve?). When opening to drain the fuel, one of the connectors (fitting) broke. So I'm guessing that I need the o-rings set and one of the lines. I would like to know if someone can tell me where I can buy it in London???
Any other guess / idea???
Thanks a lot!
