ML270 w163 Inlet Manifold/EGR mod

Hi all

I know that my inlet manifold/swirl flaps are very probably worn out - poor performance, oil down side of engine block etc.

Not knowing a vast amount about the inlet manifold, if I do the EGR blocking off and electrical modification, would it be necessary for me to also replace the inlet manifold, or does doing the EGR mod make the worn out parts redundant? The mod I am planning on doing is this: Disabling EGR - Mercedes-Benz Owners' Forums

(well I'm doing the electrical bit at least)

This is as important as the EGR shunt... Inlet port shut off motor delete (CDI2) - Mercedes-Benz Owners' Forums

Do loads of research on this before you start - about 6hrs to strip down!

Then do the stepper motor shunt to prevent getting fault codes.
