ML 270CDi Silver with Cream Leather.
My heater blower motor is making a dull noise when on, this happened on a previous car and turned out to be the bearings in the motor, I replaced these and all was well.
How easy is it to get at the blower motor in the ML270CDi?
I dont fancy taking the dash to bits but if its not to bad then I will have a go, if not the indi can do it.

Thanks

Mark

Replace the dust filter first. A blocked one will make the motor labour and make the dull noise.

Hi Blackc55,

I have fitted a new filter, the one under the front passenger footwell and this has made no change, this indi siad that it was the motor, not that worried as its not to bad but if its an easy job to get at then I will change the bearings and replace the bushes at the same time.

Thanks for your help, all very much appriciated.

Regards

Mark

Unscrew the passenger dashboard under panel and then the motor unit.
