Okay guys.
The auction has active bids and is running. Been offered a reasonable amount and guy claims he will pick up (Warts and All) on Friday.
Wonder whether or not it will happen but will keep you informed, otherwise I'm at the mercy of the auction unless something else comes in.
At the same time - I have had some offers (sadly slightly under my mental limit) however they are genuine buyers and appreciate their knowledge and demeanor.
You cannot change the description/title/lead image once you have active bids however should it not meet it's Auction Reserve then I'll most certainly take my pic of the above Critique and take action.

You'd better change the tax info as it won't have any tax when you sell it. You'll need to claim the tax back too.

I was looking for one of these but after much deliberation went for an ML500 instead.
After looking around you can get a better ML500 for similar money and also, the running costs are barely noticeable, when you factor possible engine issues with a higher mileage diesel then the 500 wins.
The ML420 is a cracking car but at that mileage, i'd rather have an ML500.
Good luck with the sale though as it's a lovely car.
As an example, I picked up a 2006 ML500, 60,000 miles with full Merc warranty from a dealership, same spec but no off-road pack (Not a selling point on these kind of cars imo, just an amusement) for £12,000.
Dave!
I spotted Tom's advert on ebay a couple of weeks ago and was very tempted. I had been looking for an ML500 or E500 to replace our old ML270 cdi. I had not appreciated that it was possible to get a ML420 cdi for under £12K.
In the end I went for a black 420 with full MB service history. I have only had it a week, but I am seriously impressed.
It feels far superior to the W163 model - especially on the standard airmatic suspension. I am also amazed at the fuel economy. On my first journey of 160 miles of mainly busy motorway and dual carriageway it achieved 32mpg.
He's a photo of the car after a quick wash and polish:
Tom's car appears excellent value I am surprised it hasn't been snapped up. I would have bought it if I hadn't found the black one at a similar price.
I have had a look online and I believe it is an HFP yes. It worked with my iPhone 5s and most recently 6 so it should be latest version. You mean a HFP module?
What do you want for it?

Would 145 tempt you ?
