I am sitting this evening pondering this very question. My X5 has a towbar fitted, and I never anticipate owning a trailer of any description. Tomorrow it's going in the garage to have the rear bumper removed in order to fix the rear parking sensors. The towbar crossbeam under the bumper completely blocks access. I am contemplating whether to have the towbar removed or not. So changing a £25 sensor will end up costing me £120 labour!

The AMG-engined ML/GLE/R/GLS/G are type approved.

There is a nice silver one on Ebay now. £4K. 92K. Looks in good nick. A few scuffs but worth a stab. I would offer him £3K.

2002 ML55 supercar (with tow bar). Had it nearly 6 years and still not fed up with it.
