looks in good order, low miles and MOT history is ok. Interior is slightly challenging but someone has gone to the trouble of retro fitting the rear 2 seats as ML55s didn't have them but the fixings are all there. If it was a bit closer I'd have a gawp.

I was only looking at ML 55 fo sale this morning.

I like a W163 fiddy five. Like to block the catalysts though. Changed a lot back in the day. If they are blocked it’ll misfire at high rpm’s and won’t clear until you key off/key on. I’d recommend an Italian test-drive to be sure 🤣

That's the one that was on AT; sold very quickly.

I had a silver 500, also with the two-tone seats, but dark blue panels not green, and the AMG bodykit and dials. I wouldn't want another one; nondescript to drive, and mine was pretty rusty underneath. The W164 400 diesel that replaced it was streets ahead in every way.

£9K+ retail? Only an idiot...

Looked an ok sort of bus in the end but you know it's going to cost him £2-3k to put it "right" but I suppose even then for a 90k ml55 that's not too bad.

I think I’d be mainly worried about keeping on top of the corrosion?

Weren’t these having problems with rust 10-20 years ago?

Looks like a reasonable example especially considering the age, but I think I’d rather pay more up front for something newer and less hassle then fighting off the tin worm especially on the UKs salted winter roads.

I paid a dealer less last July than that claimed retail value for my W164 ML63 on 102K miles.

You're right, you are. Could I tempt you with a decent Armagnac or Cognac instead?

Haha I bought it. Eats 20l/100km but it's been great. Better than our GLS dare I say.

Good luck with it. Superb engine. Similar fuel consumption to my W164.

I assume you're not in Texas, though; l/100km?

Did you buy it from or are High Peak Autos then?
