Afternoon All,

I need my CLK320 diagnosed with Star but I cant find anyone mobile who's willing to come to Weston super Mare to do it.

I've tracked the fault as far as possible without Star but now hit a wall. I'm told Snap-on or other tools arent up to the job. Is this true?

Any help gratefully received.

Hi,

Its not cranking. Starter motor is Ok, battery is OK. Im thinking its the starter lockout in the gearbox but would like to get it confirmed before I get my hands dirty!

Can you not get it recovered to a local MB specialist or perhaps trigger the starter manually with the ignition on to get it running if that's all the issue is to drive it to a garage

Tried that.

Its not starting even if I turn ignition on and jump the relay to crank it. I understand it needs 12V to the starter relay (not present) and the correct signal from the ECU to start. Obviously not getting either. So it must be starter lockout in box, ECU, Ignition switch or dodgy wires. im hoping a diagnostic will tell me whats what.
