Dont want to Spread Spam but help you stop spreading "Spam"
Please dont reply!

Had an email from a friend that has some very high connections with a mobile company. Basically I was told to hang up on an incoming call that came up "ACE" which supposedly was sweeping the U.S. and spreading a virus knocking out your IMEI code making your phone dead. Thing is I checked it out be a scam. The person who sent this also sent it out to all high level staff within the group. Never mind eh.....

"I have had this information sent through to me from the Police, please be aware.

***** can you forward to the relevant people please.

Regards

All mobile users:
If you receive a phone call and your mobile phone displays ( ACE ) on the
screen don't answer the call. END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY. If you answer
the call, your phone will be infected by a virus.
This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone
and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the
telephone network. You will have to buy a new phone.
This information has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are
over 3 Million mobile phones being infected by this virus in the USA now.
You can also check this news on the CNN web site.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS PIECE OF INFORMATION TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS"

Since then I know someone who has been (not a joke )wapped "dead" from (general browsing) probably from spyware. Is there any protection on mobile phones?
