Modification to iphone cradle to charge 3GS?

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if it is possible to modify the original iphone cradle so that it will charge the latest versions?

This might also apply similarly to the ipod interface, which also does not charge the latest models.

I would imagine that the power is available, and 'just' needs strapping across to the correct pins?

The cradle for the 3G and 3GS iphone does charge the phone: Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes Phone/Bluetooth :: Mercedes iPhone 3G(S) Phone cradle I assume you have the older cradle.

Correct - I took a chance on a cheapish ebay jobbie, and whilst it greatly improves the reception, it would be better if it charged the phone. Still, there may be a fix - will maybe take it apart anyway when I get the time and inclination!!

The charging voltages are different so be careful.
