Mono wiper

hi, My mono wiper will not return to the home position . It initially nearly jammed up completely but then started wiping okay and goes fully down drivers side when in operation but will not return fully when switched off. I have checked the grease in the hub and it seems well greased and as stated it work fine so i cannot think it would be the motor, bit perplexed by it!, regards, Brian.

Check the sliding mechanism is greased, otherwise the load becomes too great for it to move.

If you added more grease and that hasn’t fixed it then it could be the N10 relay or the stalk switch.

Investigate the N10 relay first.

Thanks Dec, 2000, i will check out the relay in the stalk when i return home next week.

As your car is year 2000 then its unlikely to be the stalk or relay, ignore the relay in my link above as it doesn’t exist in your car.
If the wiper blade works normally on all speeds but fails to park (home position) in its correct position at the bottom of the windscreen when the stalk is turned off to 0 then the wiper mechanism may only need readjusting.

Can you describe the fault again, in more detail?
