When I read earlier in this thread about them no longer sending out the reminder letters, I couldn't help but think that is not quite cricket, but I suppose if you just set up the direct debit it wont be an issue.

One good thing is no longer having to find a place to bolt on an ugly holder on the side of a bike, they always look carp however much carbon/alloy and machine screws they have!

What happens during the transition? I assume that existing current tax discs remain valid until expiry and then they fall within the new scheme? Or do we have to set up a direct debit from the start of the scheme?
