Hi guys
I need your urgent help again

so been out in the ML today and tried to open the boot using the handle (normally use the fob) and the boot wouldn’t open
It unlocked and tried to open but didn’t raise
And now it won’t close either
I’ve tried the fob and door button plenty of times but nothing
Tried pressing the handle and physically pulling the boot open but it won’t budge
And I’ve tried pushing it fully closed to no avail

don’t know what else to try

Wacko 74 dont give up on the forum,, some one that knows about you problem will help you , so watch this space. Also i would check your fuses first ..

I had identical on my car. (tail gate)

First replaced lock made no difference.

Turned out to be the actual handle button was faulty ( they let water in on my car)

I looked on my icarsoft on live data and said rear lock was Hanging, changed lock said same, changed handle button (infact I bypassed it) all was fixed

if left hanging it was also draining my battery after a few days.

I suppose the handle option makes sense
I would normally just use the fob and have down for ages but my Mrs used the handle

I will have to give my local independent a call tomorrow and get it booked in

Well the tank got dropped off at the garage this morning
Back seats already down ready for the mechanic to have a nice little lie down
