    In truth I quite like Morrisey, but I still think the true genius is with Johnny Marr.

    I was introduced to them in the late 90s and never bothered with them before that because, like most people, I thought they were depressing.

    One listen changed all that. Their music changed my life.

    I was quite a Smiths fan back in the day. Got most of the albums, if not the T-shirts, and agree with Ted 100% - Johnny Marr was the genius.

    I remember the revelation of first hearing 'How soon is now' through stereo headphones. If you know the song, you'll know why.
