E350 W212 estate
I'm after a later E class estate, my old E300td struggled to make 30mpg, out of the newer engines which is the most economical? (2008-2011)

I have a E220 CDI and get 50mpg on a motorway run with out trying to save fuel and 35 to 40 around town.
Its a 2008 with 60,000 on the clock automatic. lovely car to drive very smooth. Only thing iv had to do to it new tyres and servicing at my local indy.
Hope this helps.

Same here, 50 + mpg, over the last 800 miles i averaged 48mpg
car is a w211 53 plate 3.2cdi

Thanks, any others get 50 plus?

If my memory is correct, and I think it is, I averaged 50mpg over 2700 miles on a holiday around Europe this summer, in my 350 CDI 265 bhp.

I get in excess of 50 mpg - usually around 54 mpg - on regular 140 mile trips down the M1, though it is riddled with 50mph road works. My average on local runs is around 35mpg.

I long ago grew out of senseless tear-a*sing around, which no doubt has something to do with it.

W212 E250 AVANT GARDE 2011 im getting more than 50 mpg and over the last 40000 miles i have averaged 49.6
