The Finnish guys have tuned up Mercedes Diesel 3 litre 6-cylinder 24-valve engines. Here are the dynocharts of 437,5 horsepower version.

Do not beat the ship engines but the performance of the diesel street car is impressive. Volkswagen V10 engines are lame.

The BMW 535d is a 3.0 twin turbo 6yl and that outputs about 272 bhp or there abouts.

Kinda makes that volkswagen lump a little inefficent.

The VW V10 has 750Nm of torque from @ 2000rpm. And the BMW lump only 560Nm @ 2000rpm.

If i wanted to overtake something, I know which i'd choose.

Bmw would still be better at overtaking tho.

Touareg weighs 2470kg to the bmw's 1684kg. The new bmw engine also has no lag due to its new twin turbo design
