Most Users Ever Online !

I have just been reading the "Whats going on?" section, and the "Most users ever online"

The most users on line is 369 on 29.5.2005 at 06.58am.
That was a Sunday morning! What were you people doing up at that time on a Sunday reading about Mercs. I know I wasnt logged on the, I was on a cross channel ferry.

Then I read there are 7842 member of this site, so the 369 users is less than 5% of its current members.

Stick with it!

So I thought can we beat the "most users ever online"

So I would like ask to know when most people log onto this site,The times and the days.

And after some responses, I will set a Date and Time to see if we can beat 369.

The moderators will probably go mad at this, it will probably crash the system, but lets try!

Not so - However I do hope you mean you would have only encouraged people if it were not going to cause a problem!

Those users are not real. There are search engine spiders or robots. Google it.

So let's organise a virtual GTG where all the real people-people users all gather online at the same time, or to make it realistically easier, over a say 2-hour period or something .

Nothing wrong with a little load-testing .

Fill your boots, but I think it will be a massive (or I suspect rather small) flop. Putting 300+ real users online at the same time will probably result in the moderators moving and binning drivel posts for the next month!! Quality not quantity!!

The only point of getting people online at the same time would be to have a real time chat session. We have done this in the past, but they only ever seem to to be sucessful once in a while, with teh going dead once the publicity has dies down.

However, we have more members than ever of course and I see a high number that could talk for England , so maybe it would work.

We also seemed to use a different host for the chat everytime which probably didn't help. To be honest I haven't used any free ones that weren't a bit "clunky" to use.

Maybe Maff can help us out again and host something...
