Had my MOT today, tester advised of a few small cuts on the inside edge of both front tyres. He asked if i had a gravel drive. I do but not for long as it will soon be block paved.

I'll replace the tyres after the drive is completed. Has anyone else had this??

Other than that she passed with no issues.

Not herd this before. Why just the inside edges and why just the fronts?
I have a loose stone driveway but mine is with rounded river pebbles..

Sometimes this can be caused by driving over speed humps when you try to straddle them if you know what i mean:)

There are no speed humps around here. I suspect it's because the previous owner of our house used cheap builders gravel as a temporary measure. I get tyres at cost so after the drive is complete there will be a new set of 4 going on.

The company i work for has a tyre bay and allow employees tyres at cost for their own cars, free fitting and balancing too

Anything i like as long as it's stocked by the current wholesaler, they change suppliers on occasion depending on what deal has been done.
