Hi,
My car recently failed nct which is equivalent to MOT in uk.
It failed on imbalance between the rear suspension shocks,
Car is 2008 Mercedes S320 on air suspension,
Sometimes when I go over bumps the shock that failed bottoms out and hits the arch slightly, so there is an imbalance,
Anyway, to pass MOT would be be possible to retest with the ride night button turned on so compressor will constantly supply air? Or will it fail again?
What are my options here, a new shock is £1000 I think and I'm selling the car soon, can the shock be rebuilt? Also I can't afford it thanks.
Thanks
C
Edit:
Imbalance was 33%
And anything above 30 is a fail.
Nearside 55Mn. Offside: 82Mn
