Morning people, on my 200T 88 I have a motor running in the n/s door pillar. I assume its something to doo with the senser in the interior light cluster. I had a look and a pipe was off in the roof ? so ive re-fitted it the best I could. What is this for and is it servicable does anyone know.
Thanks in advance, Andy

Thats normally used for push button climate control but ive never seen climate on a W124 200!

It is used for normal electronic heater control, car interior temp thermostat.

124 have accurate temp control between an upper fig and lower fig (forget what those numbers are specifically).

This is so, even for cars without air con.

Thanks chaps, is the motor servicable as it sounds like a bag of nails. Heater works fine on hot or cold so id say its doings its job but its just loud
