Mounting roof rails Vito 639 2006

Hi everyone, and apologies if this is the wring thread for such things, but...

I have bought some DST Auto roof rails from eBay, which mount on five of the threaded mounting points on each side of the roof - two front, two rear and one middle.

Or rather... they should. Annoyingly (but perhaps luckily in that it was the first one I tried) the plastic bung in the mounting point jammed and I can't get it out. And it seems my attempts to remove it may have spoiled the thread that the mounting bolt screws into.

Does anyone have any advice or a solution?
Are the mounting points replacable? They seem to be, looking at the inside of the van. Or are they easy to re-thread?

In other words, has anyone suffered the same issue? HELP!
