Just catching up with everybody else with regards to MP3, I have converted most of my Cd's to MP3.

Can anyone recommend any good, free and legal MP3 download sites?

I say, legal, I presume it is legal to download MP3's is it?

No, I don't think so. Unless you are after some soft of freeware music.

There are legal download sites, where you pay, or those where you don't pay and unless you do a few gig a day are probably safe unless your conscience gets to you.

If you want to download a mp3 from a CD you already have to save ripping it yourself, I guess it's still illegal, but could personally justify it.

If you fancy paying for it, but not mcuh - try www.mp3search.ru. I use it, and it's rather good and cheap.

I know of a couple that are most likely illigal but dont know about the legality of posting it.Is it safe to do so or would a pm be better?

PM sounds good plan, without engaging my brain too much. Keeps everyone happy. Some people frown upon such sites.
