Hi,

I am having a W204 C Class Executive SE delivered at the end of next week as my company car. Managed to grab one from live allocation from the last factory build of the pre-March model! Was so glad I managed to avoid some of the shocking lead times my colleagues have been given from Audi, VW and BMW.

I have looked on these forums and ordered a suitable 4GB standard SD card and compatible adapter for the PCMCIA slot in the COMAND system.

I will be storing my all time favourite albums on the integral hard disk, and then updating the 4GB SD card to include the most recent music I've bought.

What I would like to know is if I simply drag and drop all the music files straight from a playlist in iTunes on to the SD card without organising them into folders.

All my files are fully tagged via ID3v2.3 with Artist, Album, Track Number and Title. Will the COMAND in the W204 recognise these, and then sort them correctly on the screen (searchable through artist > album > song title)?

I have my entire music collection on a USB stick ( I have the Universal Media Interface) and arranged them in folders and sub folders. It finds them all without a problem, so your choice as to whether you want them in one big heap

If I don't create the folders and sub folders, will it allow me to search through the files by artist or album?

I just get the album titles listed in each folder.
