MPG & Costs ...

Just worked out my latest running costs, etc ....

Since April 2003 ....
I've averaged 25.33 MPG
A total of 20,045 miles
3,499 Litres of petrol
769.84 gallons
Average cost of 78p a litre
Total cost of £2,704.02p
Actual cost to me - £1,089.61
5.73 miles per litre
10.85 litres per 100kms

And a total cost of 16p per mile ...
or a personal cost of 6p per mile to me !

Note - I'm missing 2 petrol receipts from April and June last year - so the numbers above may not match perfectly.

The benefit of getting 5p off vouchers at Q8 !!!!!!

our local superstore petrol and Shell both do unleaded at 79.9p, with most of the superstors you can collect points or vouchers which can bring things down even more. 5p/litre off with Tescos they don't do super unleaded though

Hi,

Running costs (diesel only) for ML 270CDi over 26,000 miles (from Mar 2002):

28.47 mpg (car computer) @ an average cost of 75p/ltr (good old Sainsbury's vouchers) at a total cost of £3200 (i.e. 4338 ltrs). Actually works out at 27.3mpg from 'total' figures ?

Overall cost of 12.3p/mile unfortunately at a personal cost to me of 12.16p/mile and a handsome donation of (approx) 9.75p/mile to the 'Tax Man '.
